Zen Beach Play Time (Ages 6-12)

Activity Description:

🌊🌞 Our "Zen Beach Play Time" is designed to engage kids aged 6 to 12 in a series of activities that promote relaxation, creativity, and environmental stewardship. It's a perfect blend of fun, learning, and mindfulness by the ocean.

Schedule of Activities:

*Morning Meditation and Breathing Exercises:*

We'll start our day with a short nature walk to the ocean (3 minutes from Alto Vista Chapel) followed by a gentle morning meditation and breathing exercises. Kids will learn to connect with their breath and find inner calm while sitting on the sandy shores, listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. 🧘‍♀️🌅

*Rock Castle Building:*

After the calming meditation, it's time for some creative fun! Kids will channel their inner architects as they use beach rocks and shells to build their very own sandcastles or rock sculptures. There are also tiny sea live creatures and shelves for them to explore. This activity encourages teamwork, creativity, and an appreciation for the natural materials and creatures around us. 🏖️🏰

*Beach Cleanup:*

We believe in the importance of caring for our environment. Kids will become eco-warriors by participating in a beach cleanup. Armed with bags, they'll collect litter and plastic debris that can harm marine life. It's an excellent opportunity to teach them about the importance of preserving our oceans. 🌊♻️

*Nature Wrist Art Creation:*

Nature is our canvas! In this crafty session, kids will gather colorful seashells, tiny pebbles, and beach-themed trinkets to create unique nature wristbands or bracelets. They'll learn about the various treasures found along the shore and express their creativity through wearable art. 🐚🎨

*Healthy Drinks and Fruits by the Ocean:*

We'll take a break to refresh with healthy drinks and an assortment of fresh fruits while enjoying the beautiful coastal view. 🍹🍇

*Gratitude and Reflection:*

Before we head back to the chapel kids will have the opportunity to reflect on their day's adventures, finding gratitude and peace in the tranquil ocean setting. 🌅🧘‍♂️

**What Kids need to bring**

Bring swim wear, rash guards, sun screen and a backpack with goggles, beach towel, water bottle and a small notebook for journaling (optional)
